Living in the Eternal Now

Like a little bird opening up for his mother's food, my little man tenderly opens for a nibble of what I have to offer. I treasure these moments...

...the moments when he is so willing to receive. He trusts. He takes. Without hesitation for he knows that what I offer is good.

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17

Then I hear a voice from upstairs reaching out... "Mommmmmmy, I need you to come hold my hand!" She is upstairs battling the potty, something only she can do... but the soft touch of a mother's hand can give comfort still.
"For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." Isaiah 41:13
These days won't always be like this. Some say these moments don't last forever, but in a way they are eternal moments; they are sacred moments. For it is in the NOW moments, if we can be fully present, where the eternal difference happens. For we only have the here and now, we only have the present. We are only guaranteed this....this moment.

I have been praying, seeking, searching for God to open my eyes to the moments of life. The moments that warrant my full attention. The moments that are transformed from fleeting to eternal... from mundane to timeless... from ordinary to sacred... from daily grind to consecrated opportunity.

Let us live in the  Eternal Now.
"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you." I Peter 1:23-25
